The Sound of Truth

Jun 2, 2018

Living a holy, Christ-like life is about more than just saying the right things. It's about doing the right things. It's about being holy as Jesus is holy. It's about loving God above all else and so doing everything to the glory of God. It's about loving others in such a way that everything you say and do is to point them to Jesus and so see them saved and edified in the faith.

Holy living isn't easy. It is very difficult and we often fall short. That's what it is to sin - to fall short of God's standards. And how very short we often fall! Yet, praise God, Jesus Christ is still our Savior and Redeemer. Through Him, we have forgiveness. But, because we have forgiveness through Christ, and understand the cost of this forgiveness (namely this: His death, burial, and resurrection), we should desire to be holy as He is holy.

The question for today is: How can we do this in a practical way in our day to day lives? This is the question we are attempting to answer as we look at James 2.
