The Sound of Truth

Nov 4, 2017

Accountability is one of those subjects we like to avoid talking about. We really don't even like thinking about it. Yet, we expect those around us to be held accountable for their actions. We even expect God to hold people accountable for their actions. But when it comes to our own selves, we'd rather avoid the topic altogether.

Yet, one of the greatest problems in our churches today is a general laziness when it comes to accountability. We have adopted a sort of "don't ask, don't tell" policy when it comes to our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Rather than taking an active interest in their lives, rather than caring about how they're representing Christ or the church, we've decided we won't ask them what they're doing and they don't need to tell us. It's no wonder that we have so many cookie-cutter Christians not maturing in their faith but falling backward instead.

In this message, through Galatians 6:1-10, we aim to see how we can remain accountable to God and others by practicing true Christian accountability within our churches.
