The Sound of Truth

Jul 8, 2017

If I asked you who you are, what would you say? You'd probably respond with your name. But, what if I wanted to know more than that? What if I wanted to know what makes you who you are? Perhaps, if you're a Christian, you might respond by telling me such. Perhaps you'd even take it a step further and tell me that you're a citizen of Heaven.

That's a phrase that churches tend to throw around a bit without ever really explaining. What does it mean to be a citizen of Heaven? It means a lot more than most of us think. Every time we tell someone, "I'm a Christian," we're telling them that we don't belong to this world. We're telling them that we actually belong to Heaven. We're telling them that we are citizens of Heaven.

In Philippians 3:15-21 we learn how to live the life expected of a citizen of Heaven. We even learn what that phrase actually means. In this episode, we will try to understand all of this and more.
