Not too long ago I asked some friends what they thought were the biggest problems in the church today. There were some pretty good responses. However, I wanted to simplify. These were surface problems and I wanted to deal with the root problem. After much prayer and study, I realized how simple the answer was. Behind all of these problems that were listed, the root problem was simply sin.
Maybe you just snickered or laughed, but it is true. Sin in the church? Yep. Its there. But, there is a way we can deal with it. We can encourage and exhort and implore and warn one another to turn from sin and to continually pursue Jesus.
This week is based around Hebrews 3:12-14. Through those three simple verses, we can learn the importance of encouraging one another to persevere.
