The Sound of Truth

Apr 9, 2017

Let's set the scene: Jesus is passing before you on the road, and you see Him in all His Glory. He is triumphant. As He passes, those around you begin to shout, "Hosanna, Hosanna in the Highest!" They praise Him and they worship Him. They accept Him. But, then you notice there are others too. They aren't praising Him. They aren't worshiping Him. They are complaining about Him. They are complaining about those who are praising Him. Yet, in just a few days time, almost everyone on that road will have rejected Him. Even some of His closest disciples, like Peter and Judas, will seemingly abandon Him altogether.

The question is, knowing all this, what do you do? Do you accept Him or do you reject Him?

Some say that if Jesus were to physically pass before them today then they would never reject Him, because then they would have undeniable proof of His existence. What those people fail to realize is we already have proof. The proof is found in the Bible. And although He may not be physically passing before us, spiritually, He is in our midst.

We are all on that road of acceptance or rejection. I pray that you've already accepted Him. Yet, even if you have, following Jesus is a life long process. Every time you sin, you reject Him once more. So, the question holds true for everyone.

We are all on this road. Are you going to accept Jesus or are you going to reject Him?
